Effective management is very important within your organization; a critical part of this is the board of directors. The board of directors is made up of volunteers elected because of their expertise. Their responsibilities are to assist and advise your sport organization on governing, managing and developing the organization. As the role of a sport organization is continuously changing and beginning to resemble more of a business model, organizations rely on members of their board in areas such as finance, human resources, technology and marketing.
